As a motivational speaker, most of my competition (Fellow speakers) do written newsletters for their audiences.
As a result, instead of having a written newsletter every week, I am mixing in a bi-weekly video series titled, “Raise the Stakes.”
We have filmed 3 “Raise the Stakes” videos, and the open email rate, video views, and audience interaction is dominating the written newsletter.
Innovation hinges on knowing what your competition does well, and then thinking about how you can go opposite in regard to marketing strategies, product development, customer service, and improving the customer experience.
