Businesses know that one of the key to success is to be different than your competition- Differentiate. Here are three ways to differentiate your business:
Think different by doing the opposite of what your competition does. If your competition doesn’t do cold calling, do it with your clients. If your competition relies on online marketing, do in person marketing events. You will be amazed at the results when you do the opposite of what everyone in your industry is doing which will allow you to differentiate.
Use a white board in your meetings and have all your attendees use sticky notes to post their ideas on the board. These notes represent voices which allows everyone to contribute and be a part of the process. Your organization will be collaborating and idea generating while your competition will be working individually.
Create a “Yes And” culture in your work environment where all voices are heard in the meeting room, judgment is suspended, and you remove the word “No.” Removing the word “No” will open up the creative process for you and your team, while your competition will be operating in a “No” culture.
Remember, differentiation can exist in any business or industry if you allow it to. It is up to us to differentiate.
